In 2020 many places have become 'off-limits' and for travel-lovers this has become a huge disappointment. That's why some smart travel companies - like Academy Travel - have put on their thinking caps and worked out ways that we can still travel, virtually, using their newest virtual visit series – Live on Site. Paired with expert local tour guides, the sessions are hosted by experienced lecturers who provide background historical context, route maps and in-depth information on the area. There is a fee, and the virtual visits take place on Zoom, and last for 90 minutes.
It's a win-win solution for all concerned.
This unique series now provides house-bound travellers with the opportunity to live vicariously through the tour guides, the Live on Site sessions allowed Academy Travel to pivot and keep their talented experts employed during the pandemic – something that they are proud of.
Upcoming Live on Site sessions include visits to the archaeological site of Ostia Antica, ancient Rome’s gateway to the rest of the world, as well as Luxor Temple in the heart of ancient Thebes, Vicenza, and the Temple of Karnak., and more locations are planned. |
