Self-guided walking tours

Via de la Plata - From Ourense to Santiago

This new self-guided walk starts in the beautiful thermal city of Ourense in Spain, which is set on the Miño River.

It is an incredibly serene and scenic walk that follows the last 100km of the Camino known as the Vía de la Plata or Camino Mozárabe.  At 1,000km in its entirety - starting from Seville, it is by far the longest Camino de Santiago route.

From Ourense’s old quarter with its impressive 12th century cathedral,  your walk to Santiago de Compostela will take you through quiet, shaded country pathways, picturesque faming landscapes and small villages and hamlets.

As always in Spain, the food and wine is a highlight of any walking holiday – and this walk will not disappoint.

Over the Pyrenees – Mountain to Mediterranean

The Catalan Pyrenees boasts some of the most beautiful walking country you could ever imagine.

This is the heart of Catalonia, where the red and yellow Catalonian flag is proudly displayed throughout the region and the warm and welcoming hospitality, as well as the delicious Catalan food and wine all contribute to an experience of a lifetime.

On this fascinating self-guided walk, you will encounter dramatic and diverse landscapes, from unspoiled and rugged mountains to lush green valleys.

Finally, you will be greeted with spectacular vistas of the sparkling azure waters of the Costa Brava as you descend to the Mediterranean Sea.

Walking & Exploring Italy’s Amalfi Coast

On this walk you will discover why the Amalfi Coast is probably Italy’s most beautiful coastline, with a stunning combination of sea, picturesque coastal towns and mountains - an abundance of both culture and nature.

The landscape is immensely varied and surrounded by infinite ever-changing views. You will also learn how easy it is to get ‘off the beaten track’ and find yourself surrounded by nature.

It can be typically Mediterranean, intoxicating with its wild perfumed herbs, with myrtle shrubs, thyme, rosemary and mastic trees, or almost alpine with meadows and bare rocks.

And cultural heritage abounds! Man has created an incomparable mosaic-terraced landscape. Beautiful little churches, ruins of castles and old farmhouses are found all over the place.
