(Courtesy of H2coconut) It was in a hot, sweaty yoga class that we came across a drink that really quenched our thirst fast. That drink was young coconut water. However, we found the major problem was the availability of fresh, natural coconut water. It was hard to find, too heavy to carry and even harder to break open. We thought there must be better way. It was then and there the idea for H2Coco was born. In our frustration (or desperation), we began researching what it would take to have ready-to-drink, fresh, coconut water in Australia. But we have high standards. (We don’t sweat it out in hot yoga classes for nothing!). We wanted it to stay as pure as possible, taste just like natural thing, retain all its health benefits and stayed fresh for longer without any preservatives. A tall order, but we managed to do it with H2Coco! Did you know that coconut water needs to be kept out of the sun? That might sound a bit strange but, in fact, coconut water oxidises (loses freshness) when exposed to sunlight. So if coconut water is in a clear container, it may not be as fresh as H2Coco and it certainly will not stay fresh as long. We use Tetra Pak, the only packaging that stabilises and give pure coconut water a shelf life of 12 months. That’s one way we keep H2Coco coconut water 100% natural, 100% nutritious and 100% delicious. Our Tetra Pak uses a lot less energy than plastic counterparts, a lot less materials in relation to the product and a lot less natural resources. Pretty good, huh? H2Coco. A natural, fat-free, low-calorie health drink packed with life-giving nutrients. No nasties. No sweat! Coconut water is a refreshing beverage that comes from young green coconuts. It’s a powerhouse of nutrition containing a complex blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, enzymes, health enhancing growth hormones and other phytonutrients.
Coconut water’s unique nutritional profile gives it the power to balance body chemistry, containing the essential nutrients that helps give more zest to life. Just one bottle of H2coco may help even the most dehydrated enjoy more health and energy. According to the United Nations and various sources, coconut water’s chemical profile is so similar to blood that it has been used successfully to give blood transfusions, particularly in war and emergency situations. In fact, it’s the only natural substance that can be safely injected into the human blood stream and can save lives. Source: Campbell – Falck, D., et al. The intravenous use of coconut water.
