| Oman Cultural Days |
|
See for yourself - watch this short video. The exotic East comes to Sydney for just four days from September 26-29, 2011 courtesy of the Sultanate of Oman. Oman is a country many have not visited and which may be unknown to some, but over the next few days visitors can learn about its culture, meet some of its people and be amazed at its culture and diversity. Among the exhibits are dhow making, henna painting, jewellery, pottery, traditional clothing and weaving. See an intricately embossed silver khanjar, a traditional dress dagger, worn at weddings, inhale the aromas of frankinsense and taste halva perfumed with rosewater. All this, and the opportunity to win a trip for two to this magical country. Open 10am-6pm, Sept 26-19, Bayside Grand Hall, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney, |
