Queensland has plenty of fun things to do such as Boulia Camel Races 15-17 July 2011. Your memories of red dust and the outback are even more enduring after cheering on your favourite camel in the Boulia Cup - Australia's "Melbourne Cup" of camel racing. Wide eyes, long eye lashes, rubbery lips and strong spirits line up at the start for annual race fame in a weekend packed with fun, games and of course, racing. There's plenty of live entertainment on offer from camel tagging to hay bale rolling, bull riding, Ute muster, live music and fireworks. So roll out your swag under the stars and enjoy the unique hospitality of the outback. You might even be lucky enough to witness the mysterious Min Min Light. Something is hovering above you. If you can't work it out, try to unravel the mystery of the Min Min light phenomenon at nearby The Min Min Encounter, a theatrical 45minute show that will make your spine tingle. |
