After its long career as an upmarket designer of luxury fashion items, Louis Vuitton is now set to open its first ever restaurant. Le Café V will feature a dining room, an adjoining bar and outdoor terrace, and is located on the top floor of Louis Vuitton’s new four-storey outpost in Osaka. The menu has been designed by acclaimed Japanese chef Yosuke Suga. As a quirky extra, diners will be able to use plates, by designer Tokujin Yoshioka, as wireless phone chargers. Watch for more cafes and restaurants from the LV group. In December 2018, for a cool three billion dollars, LVMH bought the luxury hotel group Belmond and the Orient Express service, and it seems that the company is considering a new luxury hotel, restaurant and spa in Mayfair, London, for around 2022.
