If those lovely canal boats in Holland have always intrigued you - now is the time to try one out. A family-owned canal boat, Water Home, is an ideal short-term home for holidaying guests. It is beautifully placed in canal water in the Oud West residential quarter of Amsterdam, at a moderate distance from Schipol Airport. Family travelling with their children or 4-5 friends holidaying or couples on a romantic holiday will enjoy the most in this canal boat. The inside has cosy cabins, but the deck is where you'd possibly spend the most time. It is perfect for breakfast, reading and bird spotting or spending the evening with a bottle of wine while candles are lighted around. The boat is moored, but you can see the rest of Amsterdams canal traffic passing by. It is also the ideal base to explore the city by bike, water bike or tram. This is where Rembrandt was buried and the house of Anne Frank is also here as well as Van Gogh's museum and the famous bulb and flower market. |
