Well, not really. But you can sleep next to the husky's kennels! Husky-Lodge offers guests the chance to sleep in wooden cabins next to the working dog kennels. Join them in their training runs all year round as they pull sledges and bikes around the natural woodland, fields and mountain trails. Set up in 2005 by four young local men, the lodge is situated next to a spruce forest.? There are six different-sized wooden cabins, and in summer months there is also a leisure camping area. The main building houses a cosy restaurant, bar and conference facilities for groups of 15-34 people.
If you're a Siberian Husky lover, you get to appreciate at first hand how loveable - and hard working these dogs are. But if you hope to keep up with them, you need to know that these hard-working dogs love to run! Luckily, whatever the weather, you can always return to relax in your cabin by the wood fire. "Running with these dogs is exhilarating," says Steve Dobson from England. "In summer, they pull bikes or a wheeled sled. And it goes fast!! Winter is on the sledges. The cabins are really warm and comfortable, with a little wooden stove. I loved it here!" |
