Not one, but three spherical treehouses, are suspended in a patch of Vancouver Island forest - AND they are available to the public! They even have names. Eve, Eryn and Melody are three spherical treehouses, suspended in a patch of Vancouver Island forest. Beautifully crafted, the joinery is yacht-style with brass trim, varnished wood and cane doors. Even the smallest, single-person-sized Eve, provides a spiritual connection for guests to the forest, swaying in time with the trees to encourage creative thought. Beautifully crafted, the treehouses have closets on either side of the door. These function as partial bulkheads to reinforce the door opening as well as adding cupboard space. Each sphere is wired for power and has built in speakers for those who wish to bring their own music... the perfect opportunity to experience true surround sound.
Eryn is the largest wooden sphere (Melody is fibreglass built) and sleeps two comfortably, with a third person in a loft bed. The motion in a sphere is a slow, gentle rocking when the wind blows. The rope tethers are almost vertical, which lets the treetops move considerably while hardly moving the sphere at all. The sphere movement is a muted average of the movement of the three treetops.?
