If your fishing methods have only advanced as far as baiting up your line with worms, this might give you some ideas. The only problem is you need to have ready access to sulphur stones as used by these Taiwanese fishermen.
This is the ancient and traditional way to fish in Taiwan. Sulphur stone is flammable when in contact with water. Local fishermen light up the sulphur stones first to attract fish with its brilliant light and then lift the stones quickly so that fish would jump up into the fishing nets. Although it is effective, it is a dying skill and only a few fishermen still use this technique.
And if you are wondering what sulphur stones really are - they are what was once referred to as brimstone and associated with hell and everlasting burning. |
