Canada is huge - and Canadians have dreams to match As you can see from the map, this HUGE trail, modestly named The Great Trail, crosses Canada - and then some. Nearly 25 years in the making, this 'dream' has been achieved with the help of the original visionaries' partners, donors and all levels of government. The Great Trail now consists of more than 24,000 kilometres of multi-use trails, linking Canada and Canadians. Trans Canada Trail’s mission will be to continue to enhance and improve the Trail by garnering support and continuing to nurture valuable relationships with Trail enthusiasts and partners across the country. It's not all blisters and bear spray either. Fun has been factored in. Check out the Treasure Hunt too and find GBS coordinates for your own discovery. |
