Even if you have never watched the TV programme, McLeod's Daughters, this is a mesmerising place, now open to the public after several years standing in as Drover's Run, the set for the popular family saga.

Kingsford homestead sits on the North Para River on the western edge of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Famous wineries such as Peter Lehmann, Yalumba, Rockford, Hentley Farm and Greenock Creek are around 10 minutes drive from the property. The wineries of Clare Valley are about 30 minutes north.

There are six unique suites, each named after a previous owner of the historic property, as well as the private Stonemason's Cottage. Most popular is a signature Kingsford Homestead experience - one of the world's most beautiful al fresco baths, set in a beautiful and secluded corner of the property.

Seasonal menus are designed by guest chef Stuart Oldfield, who loves to use ingredients from Barossa growers and producers. (He knows most of them personally so don't be surprised to meet a few of the locals when they drop off some freshly harvested fare...)
