Italian - a few words

Italian is a beautifully easy language for English-speakers to pronounce. No guttural rrr's, no nasal n's, no glottal stops. It's all pretty phonetic with just the slight rolling of r's.

Even the structure seems simpler. Having tussled with German at high school, and French as an adult, Italian's rules, and similarity with many English words (it's all that Latin basis) makes it possible to quickly get at least a working knowledge.

I found the pack of eight Italian CDs by Michel Thomas a great help.
