There are function areas, and the restaurant itself is very cool with a pinot noir-coloured feature wall and lofty spaces punctuated by huge white light fittings. But for lovers, the topmost level with a romantic table for two, is ideal. Doltone House, Piers 19-21, Jones Bay Wharf, Pirrama Road, Pyrmont Point, Phone + 612 8571 0600 or visit www.doltonehouse.com.au Open lunch and dinner, Tuesday to Sunday. Licensed.

Doltone House has firmly established itself as a premier function centre with views across Jones Bay and the Harbour to the Bridge in the newest wharf development at that time.
I dined here and attended several functions and I love the menu that is Italian without the language difficulties, and while the ambience could be Florentine, and the wait-staff exude European charm and meticulous attention to detail, the sunshine on the outdoor diners and THAT view is pure Sydney.
